The Schema Profiling Tool SchemaProf was developed with the intention to ease the application profiling process. Currently there are very few if any tools available to support the profiling of XML schemas. But creating and editing XML files without support of tools can easily result in typing errors and inconsistencies. So tools support is considered important for high quality and error-free results.
This tool is targeting at users that have at least some basic knowledge and experience with XML and XML schemas. Profiling is realized using the mechanisms provided by the XML language. No online help is provided at this development stage and will not be provided in the scope of the Telcert project. For this reason the usage of this tool is not recommended for users without XML knowledge.
We recommend to download the latest release SchemaProfRelease_x.x.zip from the distributions directory. The ZIP file contains the Program itself, all necessary third party libraries used and the documentation in HTML and PDF format. In the distributions directory you also find previous releases of SchemaProf.
The release files SchemaProfRelease-x.x.zip always contain the program versions released within the Telcert project. These releases are considered as stable releases and recommended to be used at the time of release.
The snapshot file SchemaProf-snapshot.jar is the current development state of the program. This file is generated every night from the CVS repository.
